Fanfare Ciocărlia return to turkis with their explosive blend of brass, Balkan rhythms and funk. With breakneck speed, virtuosic playing and horns that shift between the wild and the melodic, they create a full-on dance party.
Since their international breakthrough in 1997, Fanfare Ciocărlia have captivated audiences around the world.
The band hail from the village of Zece Prăjini in northeastern Romania, where the brass band tradition has been kept alive for generations. They bring that heritage together with their own inventiveness, creating a sound that is deeply rooted and full of surprises. They have also given new life to familiar tunes, including the James Bond theme and Duke Ellington’s Caravan, with their distinctive Balkan sound.
Fanfare Ciocărlia are first and foremost a band to experience live: their rhythms invite you to dance, and their concerts quickly turn into a party.
