We invite parents on parental leave to join us for a cosy gathering filled with rhythm, play, movement, and community in the beautiful surroundings of turkis. There is space for both you and your baby – whether the day calls for quiet connection or joyful movement.

The event is facilitated by psychomotor therapist Maria Hornbo, who will guide you through approximately 45–60 minutes of dance focused on physical connection, playfulness, and the joy of movement. Throughout the session, you will dance both with your baby in your arms or baby carrier and have opportunities for free movement together on the floor.

We begin with a gentle check-in and a moment of embodied connection for both you and your baby before moving into a mix of soothing, regulating music and more upbeat rhythms. Movement can help reduce stress and support emotional well-being, and this gathering is designed as a warm and informal space where you can arrive, be present, and share the experience with other parents on parental leave.

One of the wonderful things about Fest & Dance with Your Baby is that everyone can take part – whether your baby is sleeping, awake, observing, or wanting to stay close. Mother groups and father groups are very welcome, and many participants attend on their own, so there is no need to know anyone beforehand.

Maria has extensive experience in sensory-motor development and movement facilitation and creates a safe and welcoming environment where everyone can arrive exactly as they are.

After the dance session, there will be time to relax, socialise, and enjoy each other’s company.
