Being a musician is not "just" about making great music. Many emerging artists quickly discover that there are countless other responsibilities to navigate as well. To get your music out into the world, you often need to act as your own manager, booking agent, marketer, and entrepreneur.

Balancing all of these roles is no small task. One artist who has successfully carved out his own path is Asbjørn.

“As a 19-year-old, I started my own record label so I could make weird pop music on my own terms. Since then, I’ve shaped my own winding path through the music industry, constantly switching between being a controlled record label owner and an emotionally driven artist. But how do you navigate the tension between artistic integrity and building a sustainable business?

Together, we’ll explore the highs and lows of my career, look at how setbacks can be transformed into art, discuss the pros and cons of running your own label, and, perhaps most importantly, talk about how you can build a long-term career and make a living from your own music.”
