NOTES FROM THE FIELDS
Come for a mix of film screenings, sound installations and interactive performances. An afternoon with visual anthropologists showcasing notes from their fieldworks, carried out across countries such as Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Nepal, Portugal, Spain, Norway, China and South Korea.
This will be an opportunity to explore and discuss how Anthropology can be expressed in artistic forms, exchanging experiences of multimodal work from newly graduated students from the master’s program of Visual Anthropology at Aarhus University, class of 2026.
Camille Muldbjerg Sandal, Carolina Marcos Caldeira, Cláudia Fernandes, Frederik Sejerkilde, Lixi Tang, Maja Hyldgaard Kristiansen, Maria Dinulescu and Sofie Aarup Vestergaard are part of the class of 2026 that recently graduated from the master’s program of Visual Anthropology from Aarhus University. For their research projects they went on fieldwork in different locations, focused on different themes, and worked across modalities to reach their anthropological analysis that they then reflected on in their own thesis. In the mix, they worked with film, photography, sound and other ways of making notes of their experiences.
