Geir Lysne is one of Europe’s leading figures in contemporary big band music. The concert features a selection of Lysne’s most significant works, where Norwegian soundscapes meet the improvisational energy of jazz. Together with the award-winning Aarhus Jazz Orchestra, these compositions unfold in a programme that ranges from intimate and atmospheric passages to grand and explosive orchestral textures.

Joining the orchestra as a special guest is Norwegian percussionist Terje Isungset, internationally renowned for his unique, nature-inspired musical expression.
