ABOUT SOUND SESSIONS

Aarhus Lydforening, in collaboration with various venues in Aarhus and Copenhagen, proudly presents a project designed to take your interest in sound engineering to the next level.

Our goal is to create a safe space for aspiring sound engineers where you can practice, experiment, ask questions, and build confidence before stepping into professional live sound environments.

Sound Sessions creates a bridge between workshops and live concerts, while fostering a supportive community of sound engineers who can help each other navigate future challenges.

• A short introduction to the venue’s mixer and technical setup
• Practical assignments and lots of hands-on experience
• A safe space to practice, ask questions, and prepare for real-world scenarios
• Direct contact with local venues and professional sound engineers
• Opportunities to join concerts and work as a sound engineer

WHO IS IT FOR?

Sound Sessions focuses on practical, hands-on learning for those who already have basic knowledge. Are you new to this and looking for a more intensive workshop with additional theory? Then you should join our #YouCanAlsoBeA Sound Engineer three-day workshop. Keep an eye on ALF’s channels. We are announcing a workshop in Aarhus this fall.

This project primarily focuses on young people (16–35), especially women and non-binary people across Denmark who are interested in live sound engineering and music technology, but everyone is welcome to join!
