How does it feel to create, perform, and be part of the audience at turkis today? What does this house mean to the people who use it? And what do we hope turkis can become in the years to come?

Through three open conversations, we explore turkis from different perspectives – from those who help shape the house, to those who take the stage, and those who gather in the audience.

ABOUT THE CONVERSATIONS

Each conversation begins with a small panel of invited guests who share their experiences, reflections, and perspectives. At the same time, the day is facilitated as an open space where everyone is welcome to contribute, listen, or share their own experiences and ideas.

The first conversation focuses on what it means to help create turkis – as a volunteer, organiser, or community member. The second conversation centres on the stage and the music: How is turkis experienced by musicians, and what happens in the encounter between artists and audiences? The third conversation turns its attention to the audience and the city around us – what it feels like to enter the house, and the role turkis plays in Aarhus.

Whether you would like to share your thoughts on turkis or simply listen and take part in the conversation, we hope you will join us.

Participation is free, and the bar will serve complimentary Turkish tea throughout the day.

The conversations will take place in both Danish and English and will be facilitated according to the languages spoken by those present.
